Listing & Selling: The Big Difference

Theres a tremendous difference between listing real estate and selling real estate. Let me tell you what i mean by that, alot of people have the perception that if they list with a large company or particular agent that automatically equates to an eventual sale. There is more to it than a company or a known name, your property should be listed with an agent that is active, agressive, licensed, industry intelligent, and determined.

More often than not, listings are taken go down the same beaten path as all the rest, the property in a surbabanite district cannot be advertised and promoted the same way a high-end residence would. The prospective buyers of those properties do not read the same thing, do not go the same places, generally speaking and for that reason every single listing must have a tailor-made marketing plan to get to attract people that would buy that particular piece of real estate.

Although Jane is your cousin's sister's neice that doesn't neccesarily mean that you should list with her. You should qualify your agent and feel free to ask why should I list with you? Questions like, what type of properties do you and your company predominantly list and sell, what makes you stand out from any other agent, why should I list with you, how do you intend to promote my property, are questions you should consider asking. All this information if followed will ensure that you not only list your property but sell your property.

So folks realize that there is a vast difference between taking a listing and selling one and that they are not one and the same, be very sure that you are listing with the right person.
