Trump Strategies For Real Estate

I just completed one of the best books I have ever read and if you didn't get it from the title of this post the book is Trump Strategies for Real Estate a book for everyone. Well I retract that, it's not for everyone, it's for everyone that has aspirations of success in any endeavor. This book has principles that can be applied to anybody in any industry, and I loved every word of it. Enough about that though, the book discusses through examples many attributes that all successful persons possess like tenacity, resiliance, positive mental attitude, humility, and most importantly competant human interaction.

George Ross, Trump's longest advisor wrote and made special mention of the importance building relationships with people & creating an positive reputation that people will rememeber forever. He went into great detail about what set trump apart from other developers and investors of his day so much to the fact that they coined the phrase "The Trump Touch". Trump would go as far as placing a marble order years in advance and buying an entire quarry when he did'nt need it, but just to ensure that if some parts were damaged they replacements would be of the same quality. That attention to detail was one of the attributes that made him billions of dollars.

George went further to talk about how Trump always dressed to make a good impression. He always said that, "appearance communicates adaptability as well as respectability". Mention was made of the art of being more prepared than everyone else, anticipating problems that people may have and have them answered already.

As it relates to investing Trump always bought properties he thought would greatly appeal to his prospective clients and his target market. He wrote about how Trump always found a way around roadblocks making it a habit to talk to people in charge and not the gate-keeper.

What really stood out to me was, not only for your investments but your career is creating what Trump called the Aura of Exclusivity, the appearance of unavailability, because the nature of people is to want what they cannot have. This is an art that Trump mastered charging more for real estate projects and still finding a way to be oversold in many cases.

All in all this book is a must read for everyone, not only aspiring real estate investors. There one thing I have learnt from my studies of successful people is that their fundamental attributes are for the most part similar if not identical. That speaks volumes about success.
